A format that guides a board member to self assess a board's performance.
Objectives:
An important function of a board is to evaluate its own performance. This format guides the board member through the scoring process. Although designed for a nonprofit board, this document can be easily adopted for use with corporations. This document can also be utilized to aggregate the entire board's evaluation on a percentage basis and be used to compare from reporting period to reporting period to measure if the board's operating performance is improving.
